Café-Restaurant Klingler turns into Bistro-Café MG²

The Start into a New Era

Exciting news to share! As from summer season 2024, we are embarking on a new chapter. What began with Thea and Kurt Klingler, was continued by their son Stefan and his wife Anni, and has already arrived in its third generation with daughter Johanna and the support of her siblings, is soon to take a new direction. The twin brothers Michael and Manuel Gruber from Maurach are taking over the lease of our Café-Restaurant Klingler to fulfill their dream of starting their own restaurant business.

How did this come about? First, Anni and Stefan unquestionably earned their retirement following many labor-intensive years. Second, both establishments - the Hotel and Café-Restaurant Klingler - prove too much for Johanna alone to manage. Therefore, after much consideration, we have decided to focus on our hotel in the future and lease the café-restaurant to a motivated successor. This ensures that both businesses will continue to meet our quality standards and are further run with the same passion.

We are delighted to have found two highly talented tenants. With their roots at lake Achensee and quite some international experience, Michael and Manuel are looking forward to the new challenge in their hometown. After 7 years as head chefs at the gourmet restaurant Daniels at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, they now have the opportunity to indulge their passion for creating culinary delights on a new stage. They also bring along a master confectioner who will perfectly complement the Grubers' offerings with his special cakes and pastries.

Even though we have always run our café-restaurant with dedication and love for our profession, we know that this decision for change is the right one to make. At the same time, we would like to express our heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who have supported us and faithfully visited us over the years. It has been an honor!
